We've targeted 5 areas where we think God may be calling you to follow Him: Physical, Spiritual, Emotional, Relational, and Financial.

Volunteer Highlight // Bri Johnson

Bri Johnson and her family have been a part of Harbor City Church since August 2023, joining the worship team a month later! 🎶✨ Growing up in church, Bri always believed in God, but it wasn’t until middle school that she truly surrendered to Him—realizing salvation isn’t about works, but faith in Jesus. Though she still wrestles with lies that she was previously taught and led to believe, God continually reminds her that He does not delight in sacrifice, but delights in a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:16-17).

Leading worship is her joy! 🙌 She LOVES to use what God has given her to praise Him! She loves the worship team and how they continue to push her to grow.

“I’ve learned that God receives His deserved glory, regardless of talent or perfection. We are broken people worshiping a perfect God—He moves when we come in humility, not pride! The biggest reward about serving on the worship team is the deep bond that is created when we all worship God together. This church is my family and it’s never more obvious than when we come together for the cause of serving God and each other. ❤️"

1. What are some hobbies you love doing in your free time?
- Hobbies are pickleball recently, singing (I guess I never stop singing), just being outside riding a bike or walking. Sometimes, I paint and I BAKE.
2. What is your favorite book, movie, or TV show?
- Omg, this one is hard. The office is an all time favorite ofc and I love movie series like LOTR and the hobbit 😭😭 bc biblical themes make the best movies 😎
3. What advice would you give someone looking to deepen their involvement in the church?
- Best way to deepen involvement is definitely joining a serving team! I joined worship like within the month or so that I came to the church haha. You could also get connected to community groups near you.
